Effective September 6, 2026 · CalHub Creator for Figma 1.0.0

Local by design

CalHub Creator does not create an account, contact a hyda Studio server, upload a design, collect analytics, display advertising, or send telemetry. Its Figma manifest allows no network domains and requests no additional permissions.

No design uploadThe plugin compiles the selected design inside Figma and downloads the resulting .hyui bytes locally.

What the plugin accesses

The plugin accesses the selected top-level roots on the current Figma page and their descendants, authoring metadata previously written by CalHub Creator to those layers or the current page, and local colour variables only after the creator presses Sync Figma variables.

It does not scan other pages or export components outside the selected roots. Descendants are read because they are the contents of each selected surface.

What remains in the Figma document

Bindings, actions, accessibility labels, surface settings, colour-token references and preview-license details are stored as Figma pluginData on the creator’s selected layers or current page. This metadata remains part of the Figma document and follows the creator’s Figma workspace and sharing choices.

A creator can remove layer metadata with the plugin’s Clear action or by deleting the relevant layers, page or file. CalHub maintains no remote database or local user profile for the plugin.

Exported files

When the creator presses Export .hyui, the plugin renders previews of selected top-level components, compiles the package inside the plugin, and starts a local download through the plugin UI. CalHub Creator does not transmit the package. Any later installation, sharing, sale or upload is a separate action chosen by the creator.

Version 1.0.0 exports an unsigned creator package. CalHub accepts it only in Developer mode and displays it as Unverified. Normal installation requires a store-signed package.
